Narrative friction refers to a concept within the controversial Many-worlds theory. Narrative friction is created if/when highly sapient individuals are able to move between worlds. This movement is thought to create micro-excessions as conflicting worlds are linked by individuals' movements. It is theorized that the physical area surrounding said individuals is subjected to such stresses in the space time continuum that any living creatures within the immediate vicinity are torn to pieces.

With all due respect to our former colleague Dr. Meatus (resplendent) DDS, this concept has not been well documented, however, he has supported the belief that the Drooly brothers are in fact from a different narrative and possess the capability to phase between worlds or narratives.
