Yes, those are much more accurate. A junior son of a junior family in a junior aristocracy of a junior nation, Percy has a lot to prove, and no means of proving it. Fancying himself an academic, he devotes his time to pedantic defenses of minor points, quibbling over tiny differences, and generally being petulant.
